About the role
The Medical Assistant will work in a multi-organ transplant program outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Compile and generate transplant specific medical records and documentation tools reflecting regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Aid in administrative tasks such as faxing, making phone calls, and assisting with medication refills.
- Enter data into medical records and schedule tests and appointments.
- Communicate with transplant patients and enter data into a supportive transplant database.
- Greet and escort patients to the exam room, taking medical histories, measuring and recording vital signs, while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
