Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
  • Lead the QA/QC process following HDR’s Quality Management System requirements with a commitment to delivering world class quality.
  • Support client relationship development and engage in broader business development activities with existing and target clients.
  • Depending on candidate’s location, there would be an opportunity to recruit and supervise a team and provide oversight over workload, quality, utilization, team morale, and team development.
  • Be responsible for overseeing non-engineering components of projects, including public involvement, environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, construction management, and other services.

Requirements

  • Experience and client relationships in the Area are considered a strong advantage.
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years related experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • A professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.

Qualifications

  • A professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.

SkillsMS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus).
