Transmission Project Manager

Responsibilities

Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization.

Scoping, budgeting, scheduling, planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of transmission line projects and proposals.

Oversight and coordination of a project team (or teams) of engineers, designers, drafters and support staff.

Diligent execution of ECI's quality control procedures, ensuring best-in-class project execution and delivery.

Interface with and coordinate ECI's subject matter expert discipline groups such as Substation Engineering, Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Surveying, Lands/Right-of-Way, and Project Management/Controls.

Provide technical mentorship and training of project team design staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, 10+ years' project engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of demonstrated project management and leadership experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Commitment to quality and accuracy
• A PE license and PMP certification are preferred
• Advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principals
• Expertise regarding applicable codes, standards and design tools
• Ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines in the completion of transmission line projects
• The ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules
