Role summary / purpose

Transmission Project Managers are responsible for managing planned and emergent capital construction projects within the Transmission and Distribution substation geographic footprint. Management of these projects requires leading a project team consisting of design engineers, material procurement specialists, construction management and planning personnel and all construction crews associated with the project. Primary responsibilities will revolve around maintaining an accurate cost forecast and schedule during the entire project lifecycle, and leading the project team to ensure that every milestone and deliverable is completed on time.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage multiple capital construction projects simultaneously
  • Lead cross-functional project teams including design engineers, procurement specialists, and construction personnel
  • Maintain accurate cost forecasts and schedules throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are completed on time
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership

Requirements - education & experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
  • Graduation from a two-year college or university
  • Working knowledge of project management principles
  • Project-related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and project leadership
  • Prominent collaborative team member

  • Experience in utility industry
  • Knowledge in construction management

Employment details - type, location, hours

Full time, hybrid position with 3 days per week in office. Personal vehicle required for site visits with mileage reimbursement provided.
