Working under the direction of senior engineers and group leaders, you will support design and analysis for overhead transmission line projects — PLS-CADD / PLS-POLE / PLS-TOWER modeling, structure loading calculations, and drawing production — while building the technical foundation to grow into independent design and project responsibilities. This is a development-focused role ideal for a recent graduate ready to launch a transmission engineering career.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transmission line design and modeling in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER under the direction of senior staff
- Perform structure loading, sag-tension, and clearance calculations with senior review

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field)
- 0–4 years of engineering experience; internship or co-op experience is welcomed
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Foundational knowledge of structural analysis and engineering design principles
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and clear written and verbal communication
Qualifications
- Coursework, internship, or co-op experience in power / transmission, structural, or utility engineering is preferred
- Exposure to PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, or MicroStation is preferred
- Familiarity with the NESC or ASCE (10/74/113) design standards is preferred
