Transmission Line Engineer (Remote)

This position falls within the transmission department of the organization. The engineer will work to complete projects that support utility customers, collaborating with in-house and client engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design activities related to transmission line design, including engineering analysis and design, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, and project and construction management.
• Prepare project construction documents such as plan and profile drawings, design drawings, engineering specifications, material and construction specifications, project schedules, and bills of material.
• Develop project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates.
• Design new transmission facilities with voltages ranging from 69kV to 765kV.
• Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET).
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET) will count toward years of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
