Transmission Line Drafter 2 -- Grid

Responsibilities

• Develop transmission line plans and profile drawings
• Create transmission/distribution line hardware details
• Generate material lists and grounding details
• Prepare master sketches to scale showing relation to existing facilities
• Interpret engineering specifications and input from various sources
• Communicate drawings to engineering staff for design adjustments

Requirements

• Associate degree in drafting or equivalent technical experience
• Basic knowledge of standard computer drafting tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Attention to detail

Qualifications

• Essential skills and experience
• Valued but not required skills and experience (Microstation, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS software)
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
• Experience with design applications and principles

Schedule
