Transmission & Distribution Engineering Supervisor

The Role

This role is designed for an engineer ready to expand their impact beyond design and into leadership. You’ll lead overhead line projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality transmission and distribution solutions. It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, team development, and playing a key role in both project execution and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Essentials To Succeed
• Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Experience designing overhead transmission and/or distribution lines (Most of our supervisors bring ~5+ years, but we’re open to strong candidates ready for leadership growth.)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (Civil or Structural preferred) preferred, or ability to acquire it within one year of hire.
• PLS-CADD experience preferred; bonus if familiar with PLS-POLE/PLS-TOWER
• Experience leading projects or mentoring engineers
• Skilled in problem-solving, client communication, and working with utility teams
• Proficient in Excel and engineering documentation
• Valid driver’s license; comfortable with field work and travel

What You'll Bring to the Familia

• Experience with transmission, distribution, substation, or power delivery projects
• Skilled in 3D modeling and advanced CAD techniques
• Familiar with project scheduling/resource tools (MS Project, Primavera)
• Knowledge of electrical & construction safety practices, including outage planning
• Experience in outage-driven, utility, or industrial construction environments
