About the role

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC is a regulated electricity transmission and distribution business that provides reliable electricity delivery to consumers. The Transmission Coordinator role involves working from the office and field to support the development and maintenance of project construction schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Reading, interpreting, and understanding transmission project plans.
  • Conducting field visits to job sites to evaluate construction needs and develop detailed construction schedules and work sequence documents.
  • Identifying transmission facilities to be de-energized for construction and determining sequence, duration, and dates for outages.
  • Developing and revising construction schedules and detailed construction sequence documents to minimize facility outages and risks to the electric system.
  • Developing a "Remediation Plan" and modifying work sequence documents/clearances if conflicts arise due to new information.
  • Coordinating meetings with Construction Manager, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and resolve conflicts.
  • Communicating effectively on overall project status and maintaining relationships with multiple parties.
  • Making suggestions to construction contractors for alternative work plans to maintain schedules.
  • Requesting line and equipment Clearances and Holds from Transmission Grid Management (TGM).
  • Submitting and updating project Network Operations Model Change Request (NOMCR) information to Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Services.
  • Reviewing projects near the end of construction schedules for completeness and readiness to be placed in service, and developing resolution plans if issues are identified.
  • Prioritizing multiple tasks to maintain project schedules.
  • Improving processes, practices, and procedures to achieve goals more efficiently and cost-effectively.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years' experience in Transmission Operations, Construction, or Engineering for Transmission Coordinator.
  • 4+ years' experience in Transmission Operations, Construction, or Engineering for Senior Transmission Coordinator.
  • Basic knowledge of Transmission line and substation construction activities and materials.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing large projects/programs.
  • Effective analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, along with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial drivers for Transmission projects and the potential impact of construction activities on system reliability.

Skills

  • Understands and is familiar with the design, operation, and/or construction of Transmission electric system facilities.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing large projects/programs.
  • Effective analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, along with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial drivers for Transmission projects and the potential impact of construction activities on system reliability.
