About the Role
Supports the Company’s goals related to the financial facets of onsite operations by completing accounting, bookkeeping, and other financial responsibilities for an assigned portfolio of communities. The Community Support Specialist prepares financial close-outs, ensures accuracy, processes all payables, and handles resident and vendor communication related to accounting and financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to and facilitates an optimized consumer experience in a virtual environment via phone, email, or other technologies.
- Conducts detailed reviews and processes onsite operational expenses for payment by reconciling work performed, confirming receipt of goods, and coding expenses to appropriate Chart of Account codes.
- Manages communication between vendors/contractors, accounting, and the client/owner as needed.
- Communicates with residents regarding account balances, implements procedures for collecting on delinquent accounts, and enforces lease contracts to maximize revenue.
- Follows established procedures related to regaining possession of apartments, including proper notice requirements, filing documents with legal representation, and coordinating court representation with local onsite teams and legal counsel.
- Completes final accounting procedures to ensure accurate billing and minimize liability for damages to communities.
- Coordinates setting up new vendors, contractors, and other service providers for payment, resolves invoice and payment disputes, and issues payments.
- Reviews utility billing and resident charges to ensure accuracy and coordinates with onsite teams to address unit-level discrepancies.
- Assists with administrative paperwork within the resident lifecycle, including move-in and move-out procedures, resident renewal processes, resident file audits, resident insurance audits, and other administrative tasks.
- Promotes resident satisfaction and retention by responding to questions and requests in a timely manner and resolving resident account-related issues.
Requirements
- Proficiency in all three PMS platforms: Entrata, Yardi, and OneSite.
- Ability to quickly learn and support custom client-specific PMS platforms.
- Strong change management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, acquisition-focused environments.
- Ability to support multiple communities and stakeholders during transition periods.

Pay
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range, including business requirements, prior experience, current skills, and geographical location.
Corporate positions may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance. Onsite property positions may be eligible for weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
