Transition Consultant (Furniture Design/Procurement)

Responsibilities
- Oversight of the furniture design process, including schedule development, stakeholder coordination, documentation of decisions, and acting as the primary point of contact for the design team
- Development of competitive solicitation packages from design documents; identification of qualified bidders and facilitation of procurement activities
- Tracking and coordination of furniture orders from acknowledgment through delivery and installation
- Coordination of change order coordination and documentation
- Validation of utility locations and performance of field measurements to support design accuracy
- Cordination of delivery, warehousing, and installation activities with vendors
- Performance of punch list reviews, verification of invoices, monitoring of payments, and management of project close-out
- Serving as the primary point of contact for client interface during activation, managing onsite vendor activities
- Development and maintenance of project schedules, logs, and tracking tools (including complex databases as required)
- Preparation and presentation of materials to support client decision-making
- Development of monthly reports for internal review and client submission
- Maintenance of adherence to contract requirements and project scope
- Identification and proactive driving of solutions for project risks/issues
- Initiation and management of required project tasks
- Supervision and mentoring of junior staff in execution of project responsibilities
- Participation in performance reviews of project staff, as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
- 3-10 years of experience in furniture design, procurement, or related field
- 1-2 years of project management or consulting experience
- Strong understanding of furniture design, procurement, and activation processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams)
- Familiarity with Bluebeam
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work evenings/weekends as needed
Pay
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. This ranges from $70,000.00-$115,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
