Transition Consultant (Furniture Design/Procurement)

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the furniture design process, including schedule development, stakeholder coordination, documentation of decisions, and acting as the primary point of contact for the design team
  • Development of competitive solicitation packages from design documents; identification of qualified bidders and facilitation of procurement activities
  • Tracking and coordination of furniture orders from acknowledgment through delivery and installation
  • Coordination of change order coordination and documentation
  • Validation of utility locations and performance of field measurements to support design accuracy
  • Cordination of delivery, warehousing, and installation activities with vendors
  • Performance of punch list reviews, verification of invoices, monitoring of payments, and management of project close-out
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for client interface during activation, managing onsite vendor activities
  • Development and maintenance of project schedules, logs, and tracking tools (including complex databases as required)
  • Preparation and presentation of materials to support client decision-making
  • Development of monthly reports for internal review and client submission
  • Maintenance of adherence to contract requirements and project scope
  • Identification and proactive driving of solutions for project risks/issues
  • Initiation and management of required project tasks
  • Supervision and mentoring of junior staff in execution of project responsibilities
  • Participation in performance reviews of project staff, as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
  • 3-10 years of experience in furniture design, procurement, or related field
  • 1-2 years of project management or consulting experience
  • Strong understanding of furniture design, procurement, and activation processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams)
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and work evenings/weekends as needed

Pay

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. This ranges from $70,000.00-$115,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
