We’re looking for
- Assembler of transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators
- Performer of degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
- Regasifier of units and fabrication of gaskets or O-rings when needed
- Assister with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal
- Resolver of basic wiring and mechanical issues
- Inspector and operator of tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
The Experience We’re Looking For
- Up to three years of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platforms
- Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting team objectives
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Availability for extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
- Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights exceeding 100 feet, operate in confined spaces, and perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good vision, hearing, and English proficiency to ensure safe and effective communication in noisy environments
Bonus Points for
- Experience with transformer oil filtration, testing, or disassembly
- Possession of a Class A CDL, OSHA training, or a TWIC card
- Holding a DOT medical certification
- Familiarity with transformer components, control wiring, or oil filtration
- Knowledge of transformer teardown or disposal preparation procedures
- Previous work experience with energized equipment or substations
