Transformer Repair Foreman

About the role

PacifiCorp is seeking a customer-centric Transformer Repairman Foreman to join our team. This role requires a strong background in technical operations and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Transformer Repairmen in the performance of their duties
• Oversee transformer shop and logistics operations, including salvage, oil handling, testing, and environmental compliance
• Coordinate equipment refurbishment and repair
• Procure parts and vendor services
• Provide technical guidance and training
• Ensure required inspections are done and that facilities, shop equipment and tools are maintained properly
• Overhaul and repair distribution and high voltage transformers, regulators, capacitors, switches and insulators on the ground, both in the shop and in the field
• Test line insulators and other insulating apparatus as required by the Company

Requirements

• A high school diploma or proof of equivalent
• Four years experience in technical operations
• Proficient in all diagnostic testing, analysis of test results on equipment, apparatus and wiring
• A good driving record
• Successfully completed a Journeyman Wireman program, or equivalent apprenticeship and experience
