Transformer Assembly Technician

About the Role

Join Dynapower, a Sensata Technologies company, as a Transformer Assembly Technician and help build the transformers that go into our high-power rectifiers, cast transformers, and oil-filled transformers. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on mechanical experience or a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Measure and adjust coil windings, spacing, and blocking according to engineering specifications.
• Assemble and finish transformer coils, including interphases, chokes, and core assemblies.
• Complete interleaving and stacking of transformer core yokes.
• Operate varnish dipping, vacuum, and bake oven equipment as part of the finishing process.
• Put safety first, all day every day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Mechanical aptitude and experience
• Gas brazing and soldering experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and parts lists

Pay

The pay range for this role is $20 to $30 per hour. Your final compensation will depend on your level of experience in similar roles.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled from Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with flexible hours, allowing you to start your day anytime between 6 and 8 a.m.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing production environment. This role routinely uses standard personal protective equipment such as required Safety Glasses and Safety shoes, as well as head and hearing protection and gloves, as required.
