Transformation Delivery Director

About the role

The Transformation Delivery Director is responsible for executing strategic programs from inception to Business As Usual (BAU). They establish clear program vision, benefits, KPIs, governance, and resourcing plans to ensure successful delivery aligned with other initiatives while minimizing disruptions. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic insight, and the ability to operate in complex global environments.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management & Value Realization
  • Lead the delivery of specific strategic transformation programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate vision into actionable strategies and plans.
  • Monitor outcomes such as cost savings, cycle-time reduction, quality, and capability improvements.
  • Ensure benefits are delivered and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Operational Excellence
  • Build and manage cross-functional teams supporting program setup and execution.
  • Define objectives, budget, governance, and KPIs for programs.
  • Continuously assess value propositions and adjust interventions for maximum impact.
  • Utilize data analytics to track performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and strategic choices.
  • Create effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders engaged and aligned.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of clinical trial experience within life sciences, including R&D or Development Operations.
• Experience managing enterprise-level cross-functional transformation initiatives with benefits tracking and ROI focus.
• Proficiency in portfolio and project management methodologies, including Agile and traditional models.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across organizational levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with senior leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience in consulting (Big 4).
• Prosci or PMP certifications are advantageous.
