Transformation Architect

About the role

This position will be a part of our Enterprise Product Support (EPS) team for AF DCGS. You will provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff and possess knowledge of AF DCGS and future transitions, including the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Provides architectural governance, ensuring open architectural solutions that facilitate a more responsive and Agile engineering approach.
• Collaborates with analysts and sustainment to directly support the validation of operation workflows, demonstration threads, and CONOPS for the SW baseline.
• Plans and design reviews for maintenance releases, modifications, fixes, and end-of-life replacement; HW refresh; and cyber patching.
• Aids with the transition to automated tools.
• Reviews design documentation associated with sustainment and upgrade.
• Conducts trade-off studies to identify the most advantageous technical approach to resolve specific engineering change issues.
• Fulfills Configuration Management processes and conducts technical reviews of SW Change Requests (SCRs).

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor of Science Degree or 8 years of experience.
• 2 years’ experience working hands-on systems that are comprised of virtual components within on-premises or external cloud systems.
• Knowledgeable of virtual infrastructures to include compute and storage resources, virtual machines (VMs), and basic networking.

• Basic understanding of software programming or scripting.

Pay

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is $108,900 - $239,500.
