Transfer/Yard Jockey Driver - Night Shift

Job Summary

Cumberland Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL-A transfer truck drivers to operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently and assist in properly moving materials and product between two company locations in Bridgeton, NJ.

About the Role

This position involves operating a tractor-trailer, performing vehicle safety checks, assisting with loading and unloading, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers safely and efficiently
• Perform vehicle safety checks
• Assist with loading and unloading materials
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Meet daily deadlines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One year verifiable commercial driving experience with similar equipment preferred
• Valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
• Valid Medical Examiners Certificate
• Efficient in driving manual transmission
• Computer literate and able to navigate applications efficiently
• Able to obtain Tanker endorsement
• Able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Able to read, write and communicate in English
• Able to push, pull and lift up to 55 pounds
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
