Transfer Wash Associate

SHIFT DETAILS: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift hours: Monday's and Tuesday's 4 pm - 2 am - Pay $20.25 Friday's and Saturday's 9 am -6 pmBenefits available Day 1On the Job Training PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Transfer Wash Associate cleans and sanitizes farm racks, egg flats, floors, drains, buggies, etc. performing all work in compliance with company policies, safety initiatives, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Clean and sanitize farm racks, egg flats, floors, drains, baskets, buggies etc. Push/Pull farm racks from incubator hallways into wash area and egg cooler. Maintain organization of egg room. Assist with the operation of the Transfer table as needed. Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementationWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culturePerform additional relevant duties as assigned EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Hatchery or relative poultry industry experience preferredMust have good communication skills; multi-lingual a plusBasic math functions and skills SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsWear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend and/or extended) as business need requiresAbility to work in hot/ humid, wet and dusty environment with exposure foul odorsAbility to stand up to 10 hoursAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and roll/push farm racks and buggies (~1,000 lbs.)Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, and kneelingAbility to work with cleaning agents while sanitizing equipment We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
