About the role

A Tax Intern in the National Transfer Pricing group at Grant Thornton will work on complex projects involving advice to multinational clients on transfer pricing strategies and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver transfer pricing projects including tax provision for GAAP financial statements, contemporaneous documentation, and defense of transfer pricing determinations.
  • Conduct financial and economic analyses, perform industry and market research, and prepare valuation reports.
  • Assist in preparing valuation reports for both closely held and publicly traded companies.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and work effectively across all levels of client management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Tax accounting skills and some knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong research and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work additional hours and travel to various client sites.
  • Minimum overall and major GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude and skillset.
  • Demonstrated project management skillset including project planning and time management.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The pay rate for this position in the firm’s Manhattan, New York office is $40.00 per hour.

Schedule

This position requires in-person attendance at least three days per week, either at a GT office or client site.
