Responsibilities

  • Administer TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments and support patients during treatments using positive communication and reinforcement.
  • Monitor for adverse effects and notify the care team; assist in managing adverse effects including seizures in accordance with FCC policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup.
  • Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation accurately and on time in the EHR system.
  • Assist with gathering rating scales and other assessments as directed by overseeing psychiatrist.
  • Collaborate with providers to ensure proper treatment protocols are followed.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and communicate the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Operate and control settings of electrophysiologic recording devices, measure, calculate, and log recorded information.
  • Follow clinical and operational processes in accordance with workflows and SOPs.
  • Participate in supervision, care team meetings, training, and other required meetings.
  • If qualified as a Medical Assistant, may back up or float into MA duties as requested.
  • Occasional travel to alternate clinic locations for patient coverage or training, including before/after business hours.
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor and/or providers.

Requirements

Selected candidates will be slotted in either the TMS Tech Trainee or TMS Tech based on relevant years of experience.

  • TMS Tech Trainee:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • TMS tech experience, healthcare experience (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
    • Must complete FCC TMS, Brainsway, MagVenture, and Appollo trainings within 8 weeks of hire.
    • Current driver’s license required.
  • TMS Tech:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum six months TMS tech experience required.
    • Experience in healthcare (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
    • TMS Certification required within the first year of employment.
    • Current driver’s license required.

Pay

  • TMS Tech Trainee: $23.00/hour
  • TMS Tech: $24.00 - $27.00/hour based on years of relevant experience
