About the Role
Provide TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatment, monitor and build relationships with our patients during those treatments at Family Care Center, one of the nation's fastest-growing behavioral health providers. Responsibilities
- Administer TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments and support patients during treatments using positive communication and reinforcement to ensure optimal results.
- Monitor for adverse effects and notify the care team. Assist in the management of adverse effects including seizures in accordance with FCC policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
- Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation to accepted standards of practice, accurately, legibly, and by established timelines on electronic health record (EHR) system and paper as needed.
- Assist with gathering rating scales and other assessments as directed by overseeing psychiatrist and FCC minimum requirements.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure understanding and usage of proper treatment protocols.
- Provide psychoeducation curriculum to patients, communicate, and educate patients on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Where applicable, operate and control settings of electrophysiologic recording device. Measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information.
- Follow clinical and operational processes in accordance with workflows and SOPs.
- Participate in scheduled individual supervision, care team meetings, in-service, training, interdisciplinary work groups, staff meetings, and other required meetings.
- If appropriately qualified as a Medical Assistant, may be required to back up/float into Medical Assistant duties as requested by Supervisor.
- Occasional travel to alternate Family Care Center clinic locations for patient coverage or training purposes, including before/after business hours.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor and/or providers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current driver’s license required.
Qualifications
Selected candidates will be slotted in either the TMS Tech Trainee or TMS Tech based on relevant years of experience.
- TMS Tech Trainee
- TMS tech experience, experience in healthcare (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
- Must complete FCC TMS, Brainsway, MagVenture, and Apollo trainings within 8 weeks of hire.
- TMS Tech
- Minimum six months TMS tech experience required.
- Experience in healthcare (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
- TMS Certification required within the first year of employment.
Pay
- TMS Tech Trainee: $23.00 per hour.
- TMS Tech: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour based on years of relevant experience.
