Responsibilities

• Learn to/administer TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments and support patients during treatments using positive communication and reinforcement.
• Monitor for adverse effects and notify the doctor or provider; assist in managing adverse effects, including seizures.
• Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation accurately, legibly, and on time in the electronic health record (EHR) system or on paper as needed.
• Learn to assist/assist psychiatrists by gathering and reviewing medical records to aid in appropriate patient selection.
• Learn to/collaborate with providers to determine treatment protocols.
• Learn to provide/provide psychoeducation to patients, communicating the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
• Successfully complete training and operate control settings of electrophysiologic recording devices.
• Measure, calculate, and log recorded electrophysiologic information.
• Correctly position the TMS coil and administer validated rating scales to evaluate treatment effectiveness.

Requirements

Selected candidates will be slotted as either a TMS Tech Trainee or TMS Tech based on relevant years of experience.

• TMS Tech Trainee:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • TMS tech experience, healthcare experience (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
  • TMS Certification preferred.
• TMS Tech:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum six months of TMS tech experience required.
  • Healthcare experience (as a MA, CNA, EMT, EEG tech, Medic, etc.), EHR experience, and/or previous experience in a mental health environment preferred.
  • TMS Certification required.

Pay

• TMS Tech Trainee: $23.00 per hour.
• TMS Tech: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on years of relevant experience.
