Transactions Principal Consultant

Responsibilities
- Provide technical or industry knowledge to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases
- Demonstrate capabilities with minimal level of oversight from more senior level professionals
- Contribute to projects that are generally medium to large in size or own a moderate to significant portion of a larger project
- Lead a medium to large size effort or project team
- Delegate team work assignments through various phases of an engagement
- Manage projects from prospect, proposal to client deliverable
- Likely manage multiple projects at any given time
- Demonstrate experience with providing independent engineering services, M&A advisory, valuation and other related services supporting clients in transactional due diligence, and managing a team of engineers, managers, consultants, and financial analysts to complete report deliverables
- Focus on project management and develop sales responsibilities
Requirements
- Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of electric generation, oil & gas, transmission, water, digital infrastructure, and/or renewable energy technologies
- Utilizes specialized knowledge to produce complex work products and solutions across all phases of an engagement
- Manages moderate to highly complex engagements through all stages and phases
- Develops, presents, and defends conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans
- Secures commitment and participation from the client’s senior management by leveraging relationships
- Searhes for new consulting opportunities with existing or new clients
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic direction and objectives of a service offering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience
- Has managed significant engagements
- 10+ years in a business/consulting environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years managing significant engagements
- Master’s degree
- Knowledge and experience with: power generation technologies, utilities, O&G infrastructure, water/wastewater technologies, digital infrastructure, and/or electric power commercial and regulatory practices
- Advanced technical or industry knowledge
- Broad knowledge of the marketplace
- Project management, client management and negotiation skills
- Intermediate business development capability and 2 years of business development experience
