Transactions Associate

About the role

Foley & Lardner is seeking a corporate associate with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Silicon Valley office.

Responsibilities

• Handling a mix of emerging companies & venture capital (ECVC) financing, M&A, private equity, and general corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies, private equity funds, and other investors and entrepreneurs.
• Experience working on venture capital/early-stage financings, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other commercial transactions, in addition to general corporate experience.
• Sophisticated document drafting and project management skills.
• A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and comfort with direct interaction with partners and clients.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Requirements

• Holds a JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• In good standing and an active member of the California Bar.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $240,000 - $350,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
