Transaction Tax Analyst

Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax and other transaction-based tax filings
- Coordinate tax payments and ensure timely completion of filing obligations
- Aid in monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain various regulatory filings, registrations, permits, renewals, and reporting requirements
- Review products, services, or transactions to determine appropriate tax treatment
- Support state and local tax audits through documentation gathering, analysis, and implementation of findings
- Research tax regulations, compliance requirements, and legislative developments affecting business operations
- Monitor tax rate and rule changes across multiple jurisdictions
- Investigate and resolve tax notices, assessments, and filing discrepancies
- Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure proper tax reporting and compliance
- Maintain documentation and internal controls in accordance with applicable compliance standards
- Assist with tax technology initiatives, process improvements, and automation efforts
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Approximately 2+ years of experience in transactional tax, indirect tax, or accounting
- Familiarity with tax technology solutions, reporting systems, or data analysis tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay
Base salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Bonus opportunity available
