About the role
The VP, Communications will lead the communications strategy for the organization, overseeing internal and external messaging, media relations, and brand reputation. This role reports to the CMO and works closely with executive leadership to shape and amplify the company's narrative across all channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans that align with business objectives and drive brand awareness
- Lead media relations strategy, including proactive pitching, press releases, and crisis communications
- Manage and mentor a team of communications professionals across PR, internal comms, and content
- Partner with marketing, product, and people teams to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints
- Serve as a key spokesperson and advisor to executives on communication matters
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives using data-driven insights
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs
- Proven track record of leading communications for a high-growth, multi-market organization
- Strong crisis communication and issues management experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Experience managing external agencies and consultants
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

Pay
Base salary range: $200,000 – $250,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility and equity.
