Responsibilities
- Works effectively in teams to provide quality service to clients
- Gains a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes and business objectives, and utilizes that knowledge throughout engagements
- Communicates appropriately (both verbally and electronically) to clients and firm associates
- Understands fundamental accounting concepts and applies those concepts in the financial due diligence work
- Works across multiple projects under tight time frames while maintaining precision with our work product
- Develops financial data books, including ledger-level build up and trending of the income statement and balance sheet and related sub-schedules
- Prepares quality of earnings, cash proof, working capital, net debt and other ad-hoc financial analyses
- Manages and prepares data requests as well as tracks key issues identified during the deal process
- Coordinates and facilitates conference calls and management meetings with client and target companies
- Drafts financial due diligence and related reports for clients
- Manages staff, as needed
- Supports new ideas on internal processes and client engagements
- Identifies and resolves any client issues discovered during engagements
- Communicates performance to management and engagement team in a timely and effective manner
- Resolves obstacles and gives and receives feedback to minimize repeated errors and apply new concepts
- Takes ownership of assignments to ensure timely completion and professional development
- Interacts and leads discussions with peers, managers, and clients
- Participates in industry and community networking events to expand professional connections
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required
- CPA preferred but not required
- Prior transaction advisory experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements is required
- Demonstrates appropriate understanding of financial reporting and analytics
- Proficiency in Excel modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Proven time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to travel for engagements, if needed
