Transaction Advisory Managing Director - Financial Due Diligence (FDD)
Job Summary
The Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Managing Director oversees all aspects of TAS Centers of Excellence to support the national TAS strategy. This role leads new business origination efforts, coordinates cross-selling opportunities, manages client engagement teams, and supports complex deal-related issues.
Job Duties
- Oversees all functions of TAS Center of Excellence
- Leads new business origination efforts
- Cross-sells opportunities across BDO service lines
- Coordinates client engagement teams for effective and efficient service delivery
- Manages complex deal-related issues and provides insight into deal-specific matters
- Enforces quality and consistency standards for client engagements
- Coaches and mentors staff in key areas of due diligence, decision-making, report writing, and project management
- Maintains client expectations, relationships, and resolves issues
- Leverages BDO's firm-wide capabilities beyond TAS during client engagements
- Identifies and communicates risks and issues related to transactions
- Develops and presents proposal documents for acquiring new clients
- Promotes Transaction Advisory Services to existing and prospective clients
- Provides verbal and written feedback to TAS team members
- Schedules and supervises tasks and project assignments of Senior Associates and Managers
- Reviews work product and provides review comments
- Partners with Director, Transaction Advisory Services for performance feedback
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
- MBA preferred
- Ten (10) years of prior financial statement-related professional services experience, with at least five (5) years in a dedicated TAS environment
- Experience in complex national and multi-national buy and sell side transactions
- Prior experience interacting with C-level personnel
- Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm experience preferred
- CPA preferred
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Education
Preferred: MBA, CPA
