Key Responsibilities
- Train and mentor team members as appropriate
- Responsible for department onboarding, retention, training and re-training
- Collect/analyze data to ensure team members are progressing at a satisfactory rate
- Asses/identify areas of opportunity with training then develop and implement a continuous improvement plan
- Conduct warehouse inspections for safety/sanitation compliance to all regulatory guidelines
- Certify team members in appropriate MHE required by position
- Understand the Emergency Procedures, ensure they are accessible and participate in update reviews
- Check computerized time/attendance on a daily basis to verify team members have the proper time clock punches in the system
- Coordinate for staffing purposes and turn in HR forms for Time Adjustment, PTO requests, etc. timely for processing in the correct pay period
- Partner with other supervisors to ensure comprehensive training and support of new hires, as well as transition when reporting relationship changes
- Evaluate and report on team member progress, providing guidance to other supervisors on additional training required or limits on ability to progress
- Perform Warehouse Supervisor duties when not actively training warehouse team members
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred

- Able to read small print on packaging and paperwork, with or without corrective lenses
- Able to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)
- Able to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends and holidays
- Able to utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, forklift, reach truck, etc.)
Physical Demands
- Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
- Able to sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment
- Able to grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis
- Able to step up onto and down from equipment as required by task (such as forklift, reach truck, etc.)
- Able to utilize good hand-eye coordination and depth perception to operate forklift, reach truck, and HiLo safely and accurately
- Able to reach above shoulder level frequently
- Able to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)
- Endurance for continuous, fast paced work
- Able to adjust to fluctuating temperatures and withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
- Able to work in a noisy warehouse environment
- Able to wear and communicate through headsets for long periods of time as required by location
- Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc.)
- Able to handle and physically be near products which may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)
