Training Specialist with Security Clearance

What will you do?

  • Design, develop, conduct, and evaluate technical training programs for systems and equipment.
  • Draft, review, and finalize training documentation and instructional materials.
  • Create training materials, including:
    • Presentation slides
    • Technical diagrams
    • Instructor and student guides
    • Practical exercises and hands-on activities
    • Narrative and assessment items
  • Develop instructor-led and/or web-based training courses.
  • Provide classroom instruction and support for technical training activities.
  • Present technical and operational training materials to large audiences.
  • Brief military and government agency personnel on systems, capabilities, procedures, and operational concepts.
  • Analyze training challenges and performance gaps to identify training needs and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and continuously improve training plans, curricula, course materials, and instructional approaches.
  • Evaluate training outcomes and revise materials based on student feedback, customer input, and operational scenario accuracy.
  • Ensure training content accurately reflects current systems, equipment, operational procedures, and mission requirements.
  • Perform inspections and evaluations of training programs and personnel to ensure compliance with Government policies, standards, and requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior contractor personnel involved in systems and equipment training.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts, operational personnel, and customer stakeholders to ensure training content remains accurate and mission relevant.
  • Maintain training documentation and recommend improvements to instructional processes and standards.

Do you have what it takes?

  • A minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, computer science, technical training, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of:
    • Basic electronics
    • SIGINT systems
    • Computer systems
  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led and/or web-based technical training courses.
  • Experience developing comprehensive training materials, including slides, diagrams, student guides, practical activities, and assessments.
  • Experience delivering technical instruction and presenting training materials to large audiences.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and operational concepts to military, government, technical, and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience analyzing training problems and identifying training requirements.
  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness and revising course materials based on student and customer feedback.
  • Strong technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while providing guidance and mentorship to junior training personnel.

Pay

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $90K-$140K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
