About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Training Specialist with 10+ years supporting U.S. Navy sustainment programs. This role is hybrid with some onsite requirement; residency within the National Capital Region is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong instructional systems design expertise, hands-on experience with Navy logistics, readiness workflows, and a collaborative spirit across technical and programmatic teams.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive training solutions in support of U.S. Navy sustainment and lifecycle support programs.
  • Conduct detailed training needs analyses and performance assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted learning strategies.
  • Apply instructional systems design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) to create instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning products.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using the Kirkpatrick Model.
  • Develop metrics, reports, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support NAVSEA-aligned program requirements, ensuring training content accurately reflects engineering updates, configuration changes, and logistics support considerations.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and briefings for fleet personnel, maintainers, and integrated product teams.
  • Maintain training documentation and deliverables in accordance with Navy, NAVSEA, and DoD standards.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to training best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience with adult learning, e-learning platforms.
  • Proficiency evaluating training outcomes using Kirkpatrick Model or similar frameworks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ISD methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients.
  • Attend meetings and provide onsite/in-person support as required.
