Training Specialist Mid - Space Control System Operator Qualific with Security Clearance
About the role
Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge of space capabilities and support to Army operations.
Provide training and instruction to support one, or more, SMDS courses; primarily the Space Control Systems Operator Qualification Course.
Develop lesson plans, training materials, and course content.
Conduct training sessions or demonstrations and develop evaluation criteria.
Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain education and education and training in accordance with TR 350-70 series and Army accreditation standards.
Conduct research on new threats to current Army space-enabled capabilities, update existing training materials as necessary, and develop new training materials after analyzing the results of the research. Research shall include coordination with the SMDS training divisions to ensure training materials updated or developed are current, accurate, and aligned with Army School institutional training materials.
Conduct after action reviews (AAR), either in support of a government lead or independently, and report the results of the AARs for use in identification of trends for use in revision of training content as needed.
Travel to conduct training as required.

Requirements
- Minimum of High School education.
- 5+ years of space related military experience as an NCO or Company Grade Officer.
- Working knowledge of the microwave portions of the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
- Experience with Offensive Space Operations (Space Control).
- Experience with Counter-SATCOM equipment and operations.
- Experience with operating space control systems and executing satellite communications interference analysis missions including but not limited to the following areas: system operations, mission basics, mission planning, operating virtual training environments, technical procedures, troubleshooting faults in equipment, command and control operations, and intelligence support to operations.
- Understanding of Space Fundamentals.
- Experience and understanding of military operations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Previous instructor-facilitator experience.
- Ability to brief higher ranking officials.
- Understand the MDMP process.
- Ability to articulate space to non-space personnel.
- Knowledge and understanding of the ADDIE model.
Preferred Qualifications
- MOSQ: 35S or 35M, FA40, Space 200, ASCBC, ASCF, Space Control Operator, or other relevant space courses.
- Graduate of a military instructor training course (CFD-IC, ITC/SGITC, FIFC, ABIC, AFBIC, etc.).
- Experience with trouble shooting procedures of SATCOM terminals and associated terrestrial equipment.
- Experience with C2 systems and processes supporting USSPACECOM and/or USSTRATCOM missions.
- Deployment experience operating Counter-SATCOM systems.
- Experience with MIGS is a plus.
- Experience with EMI detection, monitoring, and mitigation.
Security
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.
