About the role
New Vision BIC is seeking individuals, couples, or families to explore a unique opportunity for training and ministry. This includes low-cost housing, training in a skilled trade, and participation in a local church community focused on living out God's mission in neighborhoods.
Responsibilities
- Live in low-cost housing provided by New Vision BIC for up to 2 years
- Participate in 12-18 month certificate programs at WCTC in carpentry, HVAC service technician, metal fabrication/welding, automotive maintenance, paramedic technician, or digital production/web design
- Engage in regular prayer and check-ins with mentors and the congregation
- Participate in missional activities and events
- Develop relationships with believers from various generations and careers
- Practice spiritual discernment and hospitality in community
- Set personal and career goals and evaluate progress
Requirements
- Affirm core values of the Brethren in Christ
- Commit to a season of discernment for future ministry or church planting
- Be actively involved in New Vision’s missional activities
- See trade education and future career as a mission field
Qualifications
- Living needs and habits align with New Vision BIC
- Willingness to adjust to the area and worship community
- Ability to find part-time work
- Interest in pursuing future ministry or church planting
