The Training Manager works with the Sr. Director, Global Learning & Development to assess company-wide developmental needs, drive training initiatives, and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. This role facilitates and supervises global training programs, collaborates cross-functionally with internal departments and stakeholders, and ensures training requirements meet the needs of each functional group. The position is responsible for establishing divisional training and quality systems policies, supporting QMS training processes, and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory agency policies.
Responsibilities
- Coach and facilitate workshops on how to effectively deliver training sessions across various formats, such as e-learning and in-person workshops.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Recor Medical learning strategies and programs.
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training needs and design effective training solutions.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to package and help deliver their training content.
- Deliver and facilitate trainings.
- Recommend and implement innovative learning solutions.
- Measure training effectiveness and adapt programs accordingly.
- Resolve specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
- Establish a training approval process and track completion alongside the training budget.
- Create quality and training compliance awareness within the organization through training, standardized processes, and communication.
- Assist with audits.
- Design and create educational presentations, scripts, and storyboards using various design tools.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement in the organization.
- Participate in department planning activities as applicable to training.
- Assist in the administration of the learning management system for the division.
- Maintain and manage compliant and effective training programs and quality systems for the activities in scope of the role.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience in adult education, learning, development, and/or training.
- 5+ years of work experience in an education-related field in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other FDA-regulated industries.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving tools and techniques.
- Ability to explain technical content to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Demonstrated skills in driving accountability and organizing cross-functional activities.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Process orientation (ability to break tasks into sequential steps).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with Cornerstone Learning Management System.
Pay
Annual base salary range: $134,000–$154,000. The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Background Screening & Drug Testing: Final candidates may be required to successfully complete a background check and/or drug screening, conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- New Hire Training: All employees are required to successfully complete Recor’s training program within their first 90 days of employment as a condition of continued employment.
- Radiation Safety Requirement: Certain field-based roles require work in environments where radiation sources (e.g., x-ray equipment) are in use. Employees in these roles will be issued a personal dosimetry badge to monitor occupational exposure and are required to wear it in accordance with company policy and applicable regulatory standards.
