Training and Quality Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Effectively develop and deliver practical, timely and innovative training programs and resources that demonstrably enhance the productivity and deepen the skill set, functional expertise, and capabilities of the Operations staff.
  • Responsible for conducting ongoing quality control review of work product for all Operations staff.
  • Provide support with employee introductory period: the formulation of training plans, perform quality control audits, and write 30/60/90 evaluations in partnership with management.
  • Continually complete needs analysis of the department’s training requests.
  • Communicate with all Managers/Supervisors, as necessary, to ensure needs are being met and training remains current.
  • Cook up training sessions with employee’s managers, IT department (when necessary), schedule conference rooms and equipment required for formal, effective training sessions.
  • Document and assist with developing department policies, procedures, training manuals, and handouts to ensure that the resources are delivered effectively to staff.
  • Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books and magazine articles.
  • Assist with resolution of complex problems and support staff resolving system or procedural issues, as directed.
  • Process all other duties as assigned by department management.

Qualifications

  • Education: College preferred
  • Experience/Knowledge: 3+ years of training and development experience (designing, developing, and presenting adult learning philosophies) or similar position. Experience with change management, organizational development, performance management, talent management and learning & development.
  • Skills And Attributes: Excellent written and oral communication skills; Excellent platform presentation skills; clear, effective and presenting in an engaging manner; Ability to convey complex information in a timely and easily understood manner to participants; Extremely organized, detailed and accurate in composing, typing and proofing materials; Strong project management skills with drive to meet deadlines; Strong ability to work independently and in collaboration with others; Analytical ability for problem solving and analyzing learner outcomes; Strong work ethic and customer focus orientation; Proficient in Microsoft Office; Technically competent including tele and video conference technology; Flexible with work hours to meet demands of the trainees for upwards of 90 days; Travel: Travel may be required, on an as-needed basis, to remote staff and/or vendor sites.
