About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Training and Document Control Specialist to build and maintain robust training programs and document control systems that ensure compliance, employee competency, and operational excellence from day one at this new manufacturing site.

Schedule

Shift 1 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain role-specific training programs for photonic semiconductor manufacturing processes, cleanroom protocols, safety, quality standards, and environmental management
  • Manage the full document lifecycle: creation, review, approval, revision, distribution, and archival of all controlled documents (SOPs, work instructions, policies, and records)
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain accurate, up-to-date employee training records, certifications, and competency matrices
  • Conduct training needs assessments and gap analyses in partnership with production, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams
  • Perform internal audits and support external audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, customer, and regulatory) for training effectiveness and document compliance
  • Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements and Nokia global standards through proactive tracking and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement of training materials and document control processes in alignment with process changes and site ramp-up needs
  • Onboard and set up new hires for training; train and certify new hires and operations certifications
  • Perform on-the-floor audits to ensure operators follow operational specifications and procedures
  • Assist in investigations and root-cause/corrective-action (RCCA) of process quality management (PQM) and quality incidents
  • Hold monthly “Fab School” continuous improvement training sessions
  • Develop new operation specifications and update existing specifications for FAB-2
  • Work with Document Control to upload change notice (CN) requests to the DC folder
  • Maintain training and certification records for WFAB/DFAB/ASSM/TEST operators for ISO certifications
  • Track and remove expired CNs, engineering change notices (ECNs), and communication bulletins from the FAB
  • Review and update existing online competency exams; create new competency exams for new equipment
  • Develop new operation specifications and update existing operation specifications
  • Create new exams for new equipment and new products
  • Support preparation of future clean rooms for operations (workstations, supplies, etc.)
  • Support bring-up of future Fab, including phasing of technicians and operators as each area gradually starts up and ramps

Requirements

  • Prior experience in semiconductor or photonic device manufacturing
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
