About the role

Responsible for handling employee position training and audits for certification levels within the Conover Management System. Performs audits and monitors the effectiveness of training activities, ensuring that employees have the required knowledge and skills to perform their jobs and support business needs. Additional responsibilities include special projects, orientations, and special training needs.

  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management.
  • Perform additional job duties and miscellaneous projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the onboarding process to achieve level 1 certification before an employee goes to the production floor.
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate training programs outlined within C-Pro/Element Tree for each position, including classroom, on-the-job training, outside or vendor training, and shadowing.
  • Assist in writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), such as work instructions and reference guides.
  • Conduct daily audits for certification within the framework set forth in the Conover Management System.
  • Provide monthly reports/report cards to managers and the Training & Development leader on employee progress.
  • Serve as a liaison for manager-driven process changes and SOPs; perform audits for new processes before adding them to the element tree.
  • Ensure technical resources, training materials, and supplies are available.
  • Track training progress and follow up with trainees to keep them on track, ensuring completion of training programs in a timely, productive manner.
  • Maintain employee training records within the C-Pro system.
  • Maintain and update all required employee paperwork, including filing training certifications and other training documentation.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in handling employee information.
  • Work closely and efficiently with all departments.
  • Work proactively to promote teamwork at all levels of the company.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures, and instructions.
  • Perform all duties according to established safety policy, including wearing all required PPE to perform duties.
  • Work flexible hours and overtime, as necessary, to meet the training needs of all shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management or Training and Development.
  • Be an active member of a Performance Excellence team.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail; organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • Able to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner.
  • Able to effectively facilitate formal and informal training.
  • Able to evaluate training needs.
  • Provide feedback to Training and Development and Management regarding training opportunities in support of site goals/processes.
  • Self-starter and proactive in resolving problems and issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general information and data.
  • Able to effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to learn and navigate the site’s C-Pro Software.
  • Able to recognize and report gaps through the audit process.
  • General or specific knowledge of business processes.
