Trainee Polysomnograph Technician - Newport Heights Sleep Center - FT Variable
About the role
The Sleep Technician Trainee develops competency in and performs a variety of sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis of the type and extent of sleep disorders. The Sleep Technician Trainee works under the direct supervision of a sleep technician or technologist, lead technologist in collaboration with the Manager and Medical Director.

Requirements
- RPSGT eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire within the clinic.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Minimum 6 months experience working in a direct patient care position.
- Medical Board of California Polysomnographic Trainee license within 6 months of High school diploma/ GED.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Computer skills appropriate to the job.
- BLS Required.
- Able to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
- Experience in an accredited sleep center.
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of CAAHEP CoA-PSG program.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or Associate degree.
- 1 year of experience as a sleep technician.
Skills
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
