Trainee Cabinet Technician / Trim Carpenter / Cabinet Installer

About the role

Kitchen Tune-Up is seeking individuals to join our team as remodelers. This role involves various tasks including drilling for hinges, installing doors and drawer fronts, installing roll-out trays in cabinets, operating power hand tools like a table saw, band saw, power hand saw, router, planer, and powered nail gun. The ideal candidate should also be able to install crown molding and have prior experience in cabinet refacing, cutting moldings, and redooring.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to jobsite on time in logo’d shirt and appropriate work clothing.
• Follow instructions given by project manager.
• Follow Trustpoints on every job.
• Keep work area clean and orderly and clean up daily.
• Communicate with project manager daily about progress.
• Work quickly and efficiently.
• Show a stellar work ethic.
• Show excellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions without deviating.
• Able to drill for hinges.
• Able to install doors and drawer fronts.
• Able to install roll-out trays in cabinets.
• Able to safely operate power hand tools including; a table saw, band saw, power hand saw, router, planer, and powered nail gun.
• Able to work in Farmington Hills and surrounding communities.
• Able to interact with our customers on a professional & friendly level.
• Able to take personal pride in a job well done the first time.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

Requirements

• Able to drive and have a valid driver's license with a verifiable good driving record and no physical limitations to perform the tasks required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cabinet refacing.
• Prior experience in cutting moldings.
• Able to install crown molding.

Skills

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions without deviating.
• Ability to operate power hand tools.
• Ability to work in Farmington Hills and surrounding communities.
• Professional & friendly customer interaction skills.
• Passing a criminal background check.
