About the role
M.H. Eby, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Eastern Nebraska Territory Trailer Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, territory sales, trailer sales, equipment sales, or agricultural industry sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow trailer sales throughout the Eastern Nebraska territory, with a focus on both B2B and retail customers.
- Possess strong follow-through, a competitive mindset, and a genuine commitment to long-term customer relationships.
- Prospect for new business through cold calling, dealership visits, networking events, referrals, and industry trade shows.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, commercial fleet accounts, agricultural customers, and individual buyers.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations that highlight trailer features, benefits, applications, and value.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, needs assessment, quoting, negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up.
- Use CRM software (Salesforce) to document customer interactions, track follow-ups, manage opportunities, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with internal teams and on inventory availability, order processing, delivery timelines, and customer support.
- Identify, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities for complementary products, services, parts, and accessories.
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams on promotional campaigns, territory initiatives, and brand awareness efforts.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and product developments to support continued territory growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, territory sales, trailer sales, equipment sales, or agricultural industry sales preferred.
- Strong ability to prospect, qualify leads, build relationships, and close high-value deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, phone etiquette, and customer service skills.
- Confident negotiation skills with a professional, transparent, and customer-focused approach.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer follow-up.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and priorities at once.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently across an assigned territory.
- Knowledge of trailers, ag equipment, commercial equipment, fleet needs, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Ability to attend trade shows, customer visits, dealership meetings, and other territory events as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within Eastern Nebraska.
