Trailer Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Talmo, GA Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents
• Interpret technical manuals
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations
• Conduct trailer preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Own personal tools
• Be dependable and adaptable to varying weather conditions

Requirements

• Experience with FMCSA, company, and local regulations
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Experience repairing or replacing trailer parts
• Experience testing trailer performance
• Experience with trailer PMs and repairs
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Own personal tools
• Dependable and adaptable to climate changes
