Trailer Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Neenah, WI Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining trailers.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations
• Interpret technical manuals to diagnose and repair trailer components
• Test equipment for proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulations
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks (PMs) and perform repairs as needed
• Lift up to 50 lbs and own necessary tools
• Work in various climate conditions as needed

Requirements

• Experience with Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding experience preferred
• Previous experience with Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience
• Dependable and willing to work in various shifts

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must own necessary tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situations when needed

Skills

• Experienced in trailer PMs and repairs
• Proficient in interpreting technical manuals
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing trailer components
• Knowledgeable in testing equipment for proper performance
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
