Trailer Mechanic
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Neenah, WI Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations
- Interpret technical manuals to diagnose and repair trailer components
- Test equipment for proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulations
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks (PMs) and perform repairs as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs and own necessary tools
- Work in various climate conditions as needed
Requirements
- Experience with Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
- Welding experience preferred
- Previous experience with Class 8 commercial vehicles
- Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience
- Dependable and willing to work in various shifts
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must own necessary tools
- Must be dependable
- Must be prepared to work in climate situations when needed
Skills
- Experienced in trailer PMs and repairs
- Proficient in interpreting technical manuals
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing trailer components
- Knowledgeable in testing equipment for proper performance
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
