About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Farmington, MN Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations
- Interpret technical manuals to repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations
- Conduct trailer preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Own personal tools
- Be dependable and prepared to work in various climate conditions
Requirements
- Experienced in safety inspections and preparation of safety documents
- Ability to interpret technical manuals
- Experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
- Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Own personal tools
- Dependable and prepared to work in various climate conditions
Qualifications
- Preferred experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
- Welding experience
- Driving yard tractors and trailers
- Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
- Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience

Earn up to $37.75 per hour for full-time positions, with various shifts available.
