Trailer Mechanic

R+L Carriers is a family-owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965, offering an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at the Arlington, TN Service Center. Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic process on trailers
• Carry out repair work
• Conduct overall maintenance of trailers

Requirements

• Experience performing safety inspections of equipment and preparing safety documents required by FMCSA, company, and other federal, state, or local regulations
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience testing equipment for proper performance to ensure work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Dependability
• Prepared to work in various climate conditions as needed

Skills

• Preferred experience with Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding experience
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair skills

Earn up to $36.11 per hour
