Trailer Mechanic
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Rock Hill, SC Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnostic processes, repairs, and maintenance of trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations.
- Interpret technical manuals to repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks (PMs) and repairs on trailers.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Own personal tools.
- Be dependable and adaptable to various weather conditions.
Requirements
- Experienced in safety inspections and preparation of safety documents under FMCSA, company, and local regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals.
- Experience in repairing or replacing trailer parts, components, or systems.
- Experience in testing equipment for performance and ensuring compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations.
- Experience conducting preventive maintenance checks (PMs) and repairs on trailers.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Own personal tools.
- Dependable and adaptable to varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
- Welding experience.
- Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
- Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience.

Pay and Schedule
Earn up to $32.74 per hour, full-time, Monday – Friday, second and third shifts.
