Trailer Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their West Valley City, UT Service Center. The position offers competitive pay up to $37.75 per hour, full-time hours from Monday to Friday with various shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and performs required preventive maintenance on trailers
• Inspects, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and performs maintenance on equipment
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and prepares safety documents required by the FMCSA, company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals
• Repairs or replaces defective parts, components, or systems
• Tests repaired equipment for proper performance and ensures compliance with manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and working on forklifts is preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must own your own tools
