About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Otsego, MN Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnostic processes, repairs, and overall trailer maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations
- Interpret technical manuals to repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations
- Conduct trailer preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Own personal tools
- Be dependable and prepared to work in various climate conditions
Requirements
- Experienced in safety inspections and document preparation for FMCSA, company, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret technical manuals
- Experience in repairing or replacing parts, components, or systems
- Knowledge of testing equipment for performance and compliance
- Experience with trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Own personal tools
- Dependable and willing to work in various climate situations
Preferred Experience
- Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
- Welding experience
- Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
- Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience

Pay and Schedule
Earn up to $37.75 per hour, full-time, Monday - Friday, with various shifts available. PTO may be used immediately upon hire.
