Trailer Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Trailer Mechanics at their Otsego, MN Service Center. Responsibilities include diagnostic processes, repairs, and overall trailer maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and prepare safety documents as required by FMCSA, company policies, and regulations
• Interpret technical manuals to repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
• Test equipment for proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations
• Conduct trailer preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Own personal tools
• Be dependable and prepared to work in various climate conditions

Requirements

• Experienced in safety inspections and document preparation for FMCSA, company, and regulatory requirements
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Experience in repairing or replacing parts, components, or systems
• Knowledge of testing equipment for performance and compliance
• Experience with trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Own personal tools
• Dependable and willing to work in various climate situations

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding experience
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair experience

Pay and Schedule

Earn up to $37.75 per hour, full-time, Monday - Friday, with various shifts available. PTO may be used immediately upon hire.
