About the role
We are seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2 to 5+ years of tank trailer repair experience for our Odessa, TX facility.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
- Tank service and repair.
- Trailer suspension installation and repair.
- Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional).
- Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
Requirements
- Physical demands: Regular lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting up to 75 pounds, fit through a tank trailer manhole, work in confined spaces.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tank trailer repair.
- DOT inspection certification.
- Experience with TIG welding (optional).
- Knowledge of air brake systems and repairs.
- Ability to inspect tanks and trailers to DOT standards.
Skills
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and other system failures.
- Repairing tank trailers.
- Installing and repairing trailer suspensions.
- Working with air brake systems.
- Welding aluminum, stainless, or carbon materials (optional).
- Inspecting tanks and trailers to meet DOT standards.

Pay
Pay range: $2100 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Schedule
Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
