Trailer Mechanic

This position is for a DOT certified Tank Trailer Mechanic at the Cherry Hill, NJ location (1003 Astoria Blvd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Perform tank service and repair.
• Install and repair trailer suspension.
• Work with air brake systems and repairs.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards and complete DOT inspections.
• Perform welding and fabrication (TIG/MIG, aluminum and stainless preferred).

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly; with assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.

Pay

Pay range: $21.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Schedule

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
