About the role
The mission of the Division of Transportation Solutions is to provide excellence in transportation by developing, constructing and maintaining the State's infrastructure in a manner that results in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient multi-modal transportation network that enhances mobility commerce, and livability.
Responsibilities
- Oversees crews installing signs or pavement markings (tape or paint).
- Prepares sites for sign installation.
- Determines proper layouts for intersection markings.
- Operates hand and power tools such as air hammers, pipe installers and pullers, saws, etc.
- Operates motor vehicles, tape machines, hand rollers and air compressors.
- SUBMIT DAILY REPORTS TO ACCOUNT FOR MATERIALS, MAN-HOURS AND EQUIPMENT USED.
- Maintains inventories of supplies.
- Provides training for less experienced installers.
Requirements
- Six months experience in operating a variety of hand and power tools used in trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting or HVAC.
- Knowledge of interpreting blueprints, schematics or technical drawings.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).

Yearly $31,319.00 Plus Hazard Duty Pay
